Prodrive technologies is a developer and manufacturer of world-class electronics, mechanics and software. It comprises over 1000 employees and is one of the fastest growing companies in Europe.
Our organization is based on two groups: Development and Operations. The Development department is oriented at developing first-rate electronic, mechanic and software solutions. The operations department is responsible for production, assembly, testing and life-cycle-management of electronic products and systems in the range of 1 to more than a million pieces per year.
As a manufacturer it is important to continuously keep track of the production process by tracing products and operations throughout the process. This information is important to continuously improve our production process but also helps us in maintaining the world class quality of products. A system that can assist in these tasks is called a manufacturing execution system (MES). A MES is an application that supports the production process by allowing products to be tracked, traced and controlled. Providing a complete history of a product’s lifetime and controlling machines to enforce a production process. As the service process is currently being integrated in our MES system, this system has to be extended to fully support our needs. As Software Designer of the front-end and/or back-end you are responsible for the specification, design, testing and release of these new features of our MES.
