As a demand planner your main goal is to contribute to continuous improvements and communicate with the customer about delivery dates. You maintain material master data and other planning parameters. You analyze stock values, through put times and other indicators. You’ll also anticipate on problems and communicate these problems with the different departments.
You are as a demand planner responsible for the planning of production activities to achieve on time deliveries to the customer in the most cost efficient way. It’s important to realize minimum stock and work-in-progress for production activities. In addition, you take care of the marketing and sales reports, check the various stock charts and interpret this.
