PCBA Support Engineer

The PCBA department is part of the Operations department. At PCBA we are at the base of our production process, manufacturing a wide variety of products for among others the automotive, healthcare and industrial sector. Over the years we have optimized our electronics production and supporting processes so that they are highly efficient and flexible with superior output quality. We do this by maximizing robotics and by continuously monitoring and optimizing our processes. With our state of the art production lines and test systems, we produce PCBA's which are used in the end products of Prodrive Technologies.
A Support Engineer supports all processes in the SMD and CAL departments and is end responsible for the optimal functioning of all machines on the production floor. In order to achieve this, monitoring and analyzing the production process in terms of uptime, maintenance and calibration is an important part of your responsibilities. The Support Engineer will take over where the knowledge of an operator stops, and will know the machines and process on the same level as the manufacurer of the machine. Based on your insight in the process you create maintenance schedules that ensure a maximum availability of the machines to the operations. You can also perform the maintenance yourself with an eye for detail and structured way of working. If, despite all your preventive measures, machines are down or errors occur you will be the technical contactperson. Next to keeping the process running you always try to improve the proces. To achieve this you will be in close contact with the process engineer and the suppliers of the machines.
