About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on practical (Power) Electronics Designer to join our dynamic team in Eindhoven. This position is part of our Power Conversion business line, contributing to the development of cutting-edge power conversion technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing products, qualifying them in the lab, and engaging in hands-on work. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative power electronic products and technologies.
In this position you will be working with a cutting-edge SiC based power converter that will play a crucial role in the energy transition towards “green” hydrogen, with the goal of storing renewable energy to make the supply and demand align in time. In our advanced lab you will have access to exceptional facilities, including advanced oscilloscopes and other measurement equipment. You will be at the forefront of developing innovative solutions that drive the sustainable transformation of our energy systems.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough qualification and testing of designs in the lab, ensuring compliance with specifications and performance standards.
- Perform hands-on prototyping, debugging, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits and systems.
- Design and develop (power) electronic circuits and systems, focusing on practical applications and real-world performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including digital designers, software engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality of electronic products.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in power electronics, applying knowledge to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production phase.

Profile
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience in (power) electronics design, with a focus on practical, hands-on work.
Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and other test instruments.
Experience with circuit simulation tools and design software.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning and professional development.
