About the role

We are searching for a Support Engineer to excel at maintaining and repairing complex CNC Mill and turning machines.
The primary responsibility of a Support Engineer is the maintenance and improvement of our machining department. Ensuring that all equipment is in optimal working condition, timely maintenance is conducted, and all documentation aligns with established processes. The Support Engineer's focus is to ensure the entire machining factory operates with precision, free from errors. This role involves collaborative work within an enthusiastic team.

As a Support Engineer, you will be accountable for our high-tech CNC machines, taking the lead in performing maintenance and ensuring they operate 24/7. Providing technical support to the department, you'll swiftly address issues as they arise and mitigate complex problems to ensure smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain and repair complex CNC Mill and turning machines.
- Lead the maintenance and improvement of the machining department.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and documentation aligns with processes.
- Oversee the precision and error-free operation of the entire machining factory.
- Provide technical support to the department for issue resolution.
- Address problems promptly and mitigate complex issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Collaborate effectively within an enthusiastic team.

Profile

  • MBO in Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical education 

  • Hands-on attitude 

  • Analytical skills 

  • Good communication skills 

  • Knowledge about electrical and mechanical systems

At the Magnetics department, everything from coil winding to encapsulation and magnet gluing happens.

Because this department is relatively new, new products and prototypes are introduced on a regular basis. Lately, the development of the linear motors is going very well, meaning that production will increase as well.

Product assembly - the final piece of the jigsaw

System Assembly - the department where all the components come together and where we assemble the end products, starting from “nothing”. At System Assembly we do not only build, but also test and visually check our products. To perform those tasks, we’re using tools, equipment and work instructions. Sometimes, specific products require additional training. This training is part of the development of a Technician at Prodrive Technologies.
