As part of our further professionalization, a PMO Center of Excellence has recently been established to drive excellent project, program, and portfolio management across PT’s Business Lines and R&D.
PMO Center of Excellence (CoE)
The PMO Center of Excellence:
- Drives the direction and strategy of project management competency for the organization.
- Ensures PM competency development of all PM staff and the expansion of PM knowledge across the organization through learning and development initiatives.
- Acts as a central hub for project management best practices, project management systems, standards, guidance, and tools.
- Ensures continuous improvement of the internal PM practices and related business processes.
- Provides advisory and coaching support to PM staff and project stakeholders on the application of the PM practices.
- Acts as champion and advocate for the PM best practice.
PMO Excellence specialist
We are looking for an experienced project manager/PMO expert to reinforce our central PMO CoE.
The candidate will work up to 40% of the time as a Project Manager in one of our Business Lines.
Key responsibilities:
Co-create & deploy a new standard for excellence in project execution
- Improve and implement project management standards and processes, e.g. related to project planning, finance, risk management, reporting, change control
- Develop, deploy, and maintain new tools and templates
- Creating training materials and instructions
- Provide training (train-the-trainer)
Drive discipline in execution
- Drive process and tool usage and data accuracy
- Supports continuous embedding of our business processes
- Drive compliance with internal and external regulations
- Organize and plan steer meetings, drive a timely and thorough preparation of documentation by PM, maintain minutes of the meeting
- Create management reports for portfolio steering
Continuous improvement
- Act as a contact person for improvement initiatives
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Bridge the gap between business processes

- Excellent communicator, being able to influence without hierarchical power, and creative in managing a large and diverse range of stakeholders

Profile
Master’s degree (MSc) in technical and/or PM direction
5-10 years of working experience as a PM(O) expert or experience as a Project Manager in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment
Experience with the stage gating process and gate reviews
Experience with the implementation of change and improvement projects
Experience in leading a team and individual people is a preference
