Quality Director
Prodrive is a rapidly growing business. In anticipation of further growth, the Prodrive Quality organization needs further professionalization. As such Prodrive is seeking a Quality Director to lead the Quality organization.
The Quality Director’s responsibilities encompass overseeing the daily activities of the quality engineers in the R&D organization, in manufacturing as well as the supplier quality engineering activity, driving a first time right quality culture, defining and executing the quality improvement roadmaps and supporting problem solving and escalations. The quality director should bring a technical background and should master industry standard quality tools and methods including FMEA/PFMEA, problem solving, design for quality, root cause analysis, Lean, etc. He/she also needs to be business savvy and customer focused, challenging the team to deliver exceptional results.
Key priorities for the quality director include the design and implementation of a future proof and growth-ready quality team, quality and yield improvements in the existing portfolio as well as driving a first time right quality culture. The current quality team consists of around 30 FTE and the quality director will report to Prodrive’s Chief Development Officer.
Responsibilities
As quality director you are responsible for the overall quality performance of Prodrive including:
- Execution of quality improvement projects within the existing portfolio
- Building a world class quality team that is right sized to cater for future growth of the company
- Team engagement and performance management including target setting
- Operational excellence and continuous improvement
- Close collaboration with key stakeholders in R&D, Manufacturing, Sourcing/Procurement, Service as well as customers and suppliers
Profile
At least 10 years of working experience as Quality Director in a high tech environment
Proven leadership experience with sizable teams
BSc, BEng or MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic or Industrial engineering
Six Sigma/Master Black Belt highly preferred
Strong communication skills, within a team as well as on board level and with key customer c-level stakeholders
Stress-resistant and a problem solver
Proven track record in driving significant organizational change
Being decisive, a relationship-builder, and pragmatic
Language: English, preferably fluent in Dutch
Location: within traveling distance or willing to move to the Eindhoven area
