The Gaia motor drives are designed for high-end applications that demand low output ripple and a highly linear response. With a PWM frequency of 195 kHz and advanced output filtering, the Gaia drives are well-suited for very high-precision applications. The drive features four axes, and each axis has two encoder interfaces and one high-accuracy analog interface.
The Gaia drive is commanded via EtherCAT and uses the industry-standard CiA402 interface. The integrated motion controller offers position control networks with advanced filtering, as well as a jerk-limited trajectory generator. The large range of events and signals provides good diagnostics capabilities and allows for flexible error handling.
