PCBA Work Preparation Engineer

The PCBA department is part of the Operations department. At PCBA we are at the base of our production process, manufacturing a wide variety of products for among others the automotive, healthcare and industrial sector. Over the years we have optimized our electronics production and supporting processes so that they are highly efficient and flexible with superior output quality. We do this by maximizing robotics and by continuously monitoring and optimizing our processes. With our state of the art production lines and test systems, we produce PCBA's which are used in the end products of Prodrive Technologies.
As Work Preparation Engineer you're responsible for translating design files into manufacturing documentation and specifications, therefore you're in close contact with the R&D projectteams. A Work Preparation Engineer organizes the production process order and is responsible to optimize this process. You determine the production sequences and ensure that automated steps in the production process are taken as efficient as possible. You work with among other pick and place machines, automated optical inspection systems and soldering machines. Next to this you’re responsible for creating work instructions so your colleagues can create products of the highest quality standards. On top of these responsibilities you will be challenged to implement innovations in the production process, so you are working with the newest technologies continuously.
- MBO4 or BSc degree, preferably electrical engineering or applied physics
- Professional attitude and sense of responsibility
- Hands-on mentality, technical insight, accurate and analytical ability
- Multi-tasking and proactivity
- The desire and drive to excel in your field of work
- Experience in an technical production enviroment is an advantage, passion for technology is required
