We are searching for a hands-on, improvement-driven Manufacturing Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping the efficiency and quality of our production process. You will be responsible for continuous improvement in our high-tech environment, where we assemble highly complicated computing cabinets. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Research and Development (R&D) team to enhance the technical aspects of our products and ensure seamless integration of New Product Introductions (NPI) into the production process.
About the role
We are searching for a hands-on, improvement-driven Manufacturing Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in shaping the efficiency and quality of our production process. You will be responsible for continuous improvement in our cleanroom environment, where we assemble highly complicated computing cabinets. Additionally, you will collaborate with our Research and Development (R&D) team to enhance the technical aspects of our products and ensure seamless integration of New Product Introductions (NPI) into the production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
- Drive major improvement projects within the department to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with the R&D department to improve product designs for manufacturability.
- Actively participate in New Product Introductions (NPI), ensuring smooth transitions and efficient production processes.
- Be present on the floor daily, engaging with production teams to implement practical solutions.
- Apply project management skills to ensure improvement projects are completed effectively.
Profile
Hands-on and proactive approach to problem-solving in a manufacturing environment.
Strong continuous improvement mindset, with experience in process optimization.
Knowledge of statistical techniques and quality control methods such as, process capability analysis, Six Sigma, capacity analysis, Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Plan Do Check Act etc.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial preferred).
2+ years of demonstrated experience in the field of Manufacturing Engineering.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred, with experience applying Lean principles in a production setting.
Experience working in a high-tech environment is a plus.
Project management skills, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders and ensure project success.
Comfortable with being present on the production floor and working closely with production and R&D teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English).
