Lecture about development of high-end gradient amplifier for MRI-scanners

Last week Joost van Straalen, electronics designer at Prodrive Technologies, gave an interesting lunch lecture about the development of our high-end NG2200-XP MRI Gradient Amplifier for 3.0T high field MR systems at e.t.s.v. MULTI: A game changer for the elevator industry

MULTIple elevator cabins in a single shaft, the dream of every skyscraper architect and the wish of many people waiting in line for the elevator! Together with our customer thyssenkrupp Elevator we are at the verge of this technical breakthrough. End of 2015 we started the development of the propulsion system for an elevator without ropes but driven by linear motors instead. Using swivel platforms, the cabins can move both vertical and horizontal, which allows them to change shafts and thereby creating a fully independent paternoster elevator.

Sponsoring of student team InMotion

Recently, Prodrive Technologies has gained another partner in the student team: InMotion. InMotion is a multidisciplinary student team consisting of over 50 students from the Eindhoven University of Technology and Fontys. The goal of InMotion is to develop a fast charging technology for electric vehicles that reduces charging times to only a few minutes.
