About the role
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and testing our latest high-end computing platforms and medical equipment that is best in class. Drawing on your expertise in mechanical engineering, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop products that meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and optimize server systems to meet demanding performance requirements while ensuring safety and accessibility for customers.
- Develop innovative solutions for cooling efficiency and airflow management within the constraints of space and accessibility.
- Incorporate manufacturability considerations into design concepts, with a focus on sheet metal design and ease of assembly.
- Conduct comprehensive lifetime performance testing to assess reliability and durability under real-world conditions, including shock and vibration resistance as well as temperature extremes in climate chambers.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs seamlessly with electrical and software components.
- Continuously evaluate and improve design concepts to enhance product performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the product lifecycle, from initial concept development to production ramp-up and customer support.
Profile
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
Several years of experience in designing mechanical systems for high-tech products.
Strong understanding of mechanics engineering principles, with a focus on vibration resistance, thermal management, and product accessibility.
Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design.
Experience working with electrodynamic shakers and climate chambers for product testing.
Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements.
