Operational Unit Planner

About the Role
As an Operational Unit Planner, you will be responsible for leading and executing an efficient, stable, and data-driven production plan for highly complex and innovative products. You will play a key role in executing output realization, team performance, capacity planning, and production scheduling. By doing this, you will ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery towards our customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute optimal production planning that balance customer demand, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
- Command and direct performance of the manufacturing team to achieve customer delivery targets.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, driving corrective actions.
- Collaborate with demand planning, manufacturing, purchasing, and logistics to ensure smooth alignment across departments.
- Proactively identify and resolve production operation issues, preventing disruptions and ensuring timely deliveries.
- Work closely with production teams to maximize resource utilization, capacity planning, and efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Kaizen methodologies to optimize planning & production processes.
Profile
Bachelor’s (Master’s is a plus) degree in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
At least 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years of experience managing direct reports
Strong skills in Leadership, Production Scheduling, and Capacity Planning.
Proficiency in SAP Production Planning (PP) and SAP Materials Management (MM) is a plus.
Strong data analysis & reporting skills (Excel, BI tools).
Problem-solving & decision-making mindset: quickly identifying and resolving planning and production issues.
Crisis management & adaptability: able to react effectively to manufacturing and supply chain disruptions.
Clear & concise communicator: able to briefly and effectively communicate requirements
Attention to detail & accuracy: ensuring precise planning to avoid excess WIP or production halts.
Collaboration & stakeholder management: balancing priorities and resolving conflicts across teams.
Results-driven & proactive: setting clear goals and working persistently to achieve them in a fast-paced environment.
