About the role:

The Shop Floor Planner ensures a smooth and efficient production flow by creating, maintaining, and adjusting daily and weekly schedules for the shop floor. In this key position, you balance customer priorities with equipment and workforce availability to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
You monitor stock levels, lead times, and key performance indicators to keep operations on track. Close coordination with production planners, team leaders, and logistics ensures timely delivery and flawless execution.
As the vital link between planning and execution, you play an essential role in driving operational excellence on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain daily and weekly production plans for the Electro Mechanics department.
  • Balance workload, equipment, and manpower to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Verify stock levels and component availability; coordinate with logistics to prevent delays.
  • Communicate priorities and schedule changes with team leaders, production planners, and logistics.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and unexpected issues promptly to maintain production flow.
  • Track progress against KPIs and adjust plans as needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to reduce lead times and improve efficiency.

Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field with strong emphasis on production planning and scheduling.

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and planning tools.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Proactive mindset with a focus on efficiency, quality, and adaptability.
