About the role

A Technical support engineer at the System Assembly Automation department carries out planned maintenance to keep all equipment up and running. You will also perform technical troubleshooting in case of process interruptions or breakdowns that need to be repaired. The equipment offers a variety and often a combination of mechanics, electronics, and from time-to-time software.

Core competencies: 

  • Perform preventative maintenance on time according to documentation and/or procedure.
  • Technical analysis of machine/equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoot or repair machine/equipment.
  • Communication with stakeholders or suppliers about machines/equipment.

Profile

  • Problem solver with analytical skills and a hands-on approach.

  • 2+ years experience in a similar role as a Technical support engineer, support technician, technical support specialist in a manufacturing environment.

  • Educational background in Mechanics, Electronics or Software (MBO 3 or higher)

  • Independent in the execution of work and a team player since you will be in contact with the PMS (Prodrive Machine Services, an internal service department responsible for all internal development and manufactured machines) team and internal customers.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents (schematics) and instructions.

  • A technical education or background is preferred, a passion for technology is required.

  • Experience is not required, but affinity and willingness to learn is key.  

  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

  • Available for 40 hours per week.
