About the role

As a Sourcing Manager - Non-product Related (NPR), you are responsible for implementing sourcing strategies for non-product related categories within the global Sourcing organization in close cooperation with internal stakeholders like Operations or R&D.

Our products are of high complexity with innovative technologies for unique customer applications and therefore also Prodrive' s Manufacturing, Research labs, Software and IT are of a high standard. Together with the Sourcing Coordinators, who support you in the execution, you drive, based on business priorities and Sourcing strategies, the NPR supply chain. You will drive commercial optimization whilst meeting the highest technical levels and minimizing risks on quality and timeliness.

We’re looking for a seasoned Sourcing Manager NPR who can make a difference in our organization.

Key responsibilities

- Set the strategy and define plan and planning for the Sourcing related activities in NPR.
- Align Sourcing strategies with organizational objectives and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
- Identify the need for incremental Suppliers (or opposite) and evaluate supplier performance.
- Be the link between Operations, R&D, Sourcing and supply base.
- Identify gaps and constraints in the supply base and act on solving them timely.
- Identify contractual needs and gaps and manage contract negotiations.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers and drive cost savings and value optimization through effective negotiation strategies.
- Represent Sourcing in the process for new equipment selection and capex negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, operations, and department heads, to understand their requirements and priorities.
- Acts as a coach/mentor to Sourcing coordinators, but only when needed.
- Be energized by a smoothly running operation!

Profile

  • BSc, BEng or MSc degree, technical or business oriented

  • Team player with strong communication skills (English is essential)

  • Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, up to executive level

  • Internal and supplier relationship management proficiency, able to demand strongly in a constructive manner

  • Entrepreneurial combined with a win-win attitude

  • Able to obtain buy-in from internal (executive) stakeholders
