Privacy Statement

As of May 25th 2018, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will enter into force. This has an impact on the data protection notices of Prodrive Technologies (PT). This memo proposes a privacy statement for PT’s corporate website. This is a requirement since PT acquires data related to natural persons via this website.

2. Privacy statement
When you visit this website, Prodrive Technologies B.V. (‘PT’), as a controller, processes your personal data. This privacy statement explains what types of data PT acquires what it does with that data and your rights regarding the processing of your data by PT. This privacy statement may be changed from time to time. You are advised to regularly review the privacy statement for possible changes.

2.1. Types of data
Just like most websites, PT processes the IP addresses of visitors of its website.

In case you apply for a career opportunity, PT processes some other personal data.

2.2. Purpose and processing of data
2.2.1. Purpose
PT processes your personal data for several purposes:

1. For the analysis of various aspects of visits, such as the location of visitors and what pages are viewed. To do this, PT uses Google Analytics.

2. To keep PT’s website secure and reachable.

3. To develop services, including our website.

4. To comply with legal obligations. For example when a supervisory authority asks for your personal data.

5. For historical, statistical and/or scientific purposes. For example to see how many customers PT had on the website of PT throughout the years.

6. To manage recruitment activities, such as conducting interviews and assessments, to evaluate applicants or as otherwise necessary in the context of recruitment activities.

2.2.2. Website visits
As stated PT uses Google Analytics services. Google Analytics uses analytic cookies. A data processing agreement between PT and Google is in place.

2.2.3. Personal data in case of career opportunity or in the contact form
PT processes the personal data that you provide in case you apply for a career opportunity or when you opt to let us contact you. The data regarding your career opportunity is accessible for employees of PT’s Human Resources department. 

After conclusion of the application, PT deletes this data, except for personal data that PT needs to store for a longer period because PT is legally obligated to do so. If you get hired, PT will process your personal data as necessary in relation to your employment. If PT wishes to extend the retention period of your data, it does so only with your permission.

The data you provide when filling in the contact form is accessible for employees of the relevant department of PT. By sending the form you give PT your consent to process your personal data. Your personal data is sent via the PT website.

2.2.4. Personal data processed by a third party

PT uses a number of advertising platforms to showcase to or find an audience that might be interested in our products, services or career opportunities. These platforms are Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Meta and LinkedIn.

The personal data that you provide on the website is processed through these platforms to ensure a better website experience or to match our services and communication to the preferences of a website visitor. This is done in a privacy-safe way using a secure one-way hashing algorithm called SHA256 on first-party personal data, such as email addresses. When you fill in a contact form or apply for a job, your name, e-mail address and phone number will be processed by the above mentioned platforms. The processed personal data will never be saved on any of these platforms.

Data will be processed in accordance with each of the platforms' data policies.

2.2.4.1 Personal data in a lead form by a third party

PT uses lead forms on Meta's advertisement platform (i.e. Facebook and Instagram) to collect personal data. By sending the lead form you give PT your consent to process your personal data.

This personal data will be used to contact you in the case of a career opportunity. The data regarding your career opportunity is accessible for employees of PT’s Human Resources department.

The following data will be collected through a lead form:
- First and last name
- email address
- phone number

Your data will be handled with care by PT and deleted if deemed irrelevant or completed.

2.3. Consent
For the processing of some personal data, PT needs your consent. By consenting to this privacy notice, you are giving us permission to process your personal data specifically for the purposes identified.

2.4. Disclosure
PT will not disclose your personal data to third parties without first obtaining your consent, if necessary, unless this is required for a declaration of offense or necessary for the purpose of the processing.

2.5. Storage
When you visit our website, PT does not store your personal data longer than necessary for the purpose. Except for personal data that PT needs to store for a longer period because PT is legally obliged to do so.

2.6. Your privacy rights
You have the right to ask for insight in your personal data that PT processes, the right to correct this data, as well as the right to have PT remove your personal data or to have PT (temporarily) stop processing your personal data.
