About the role
Prodrive Technologies’ System Assembly department is responsible for assembling products and systems that meet our customers’ specifications while ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and productivity. Our team is dedicated to precision, innovation, and teamwork, and we take pride in delivering high-quality assemblies across a wide range of product complexities.
We are seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to join our System Assembly team. In this role, you will assemble and test a variety of products, ranging from simple to complex builds. Work will include manual assembly, heat staking, manual and automated dispensing, laser marking, functional testing, and final visual inspection. You will work directly on the build-up and completion of products in a team setting to ensure quality and efficiency targets are consistently met.
We are looking for a self-starter who is detail-oriented, enjoys working with tools and machinery, and can balance independent assignments with strong teamwork.


Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the timely completion of System Assembly orders to sustain manufacturing operations.
- Assemble parts, subassemblies, and systems according to work instructions
- Perform manual assembly, heat staking, dispensing, laser marking, testing, inspection and other required activities within the department.
- Inspect assemblies visually and execute functional tests to verify quality and accuracy.
- Accurately follow manufacturing procedures and adhere to quality standards.
- Escalate issues with equipment, materials, or processes to the Team Lead.
- Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams to improve quality, efficiency, and ergonomics.
- Report directly to the production Team Leader.
- Cross-train on all equipment and processes within the department to support team flexibility.
Profile
High School diploma or equivalent
Legally authorized to work within the United States
Passionate about hands-on assembly work
Ambitious, with a high level of personal responsibility and accountability
Enjoys working with a variety of products, tools, and equipment
Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
Ability to follow work instructions consistently and accurately.
Keen interest in assembly work with great hand eye coordination
Comfortable using computers for daily tasks
Ability to work independently and in a team environment in a fast-paced setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills (English).
Eagerness to learn and take initiative.
PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (below)
Prior hands-on experience with assembly tools and/or manufacturing equipment (screw drivers, dispensing equipment, power and hand tools)
Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Familiarity with following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Experience in 5S and ESD-safe environments
Familiarity with Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and/or IPC-A-610 standards
Experience working with robotics equipment
