About the Role
As a Technical Support Engineer in our Prodrive Machine Services (PMS) team, you ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of our internal production equipment. This includes complex automated systems such as robot cells for dispensing, pick-and-place, laser marking, and automated test solutions.
You are responsible for maintaining these systems, troubleshooting when failures occur, and performing root cause analysis to drive lasting improvements. You work hands-on with mechanical, electrical, and occasionally software-related issues, directly contributing to the continuity and efficiency of our production.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance based on internal planning and instructions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at both component and system level
- Carry out corrective repairs and verify operational readiness afterward
- Conduct root cause analyses using structured methods like 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams
- Communicate effectively during breakdowns, keeping stakeholders updated on progress
- Document findings in maintenance logs, RCA reports, and shift handovers
- Support service and rework activities based on technical documentation and drawings
- Suggest and help implement improvements to increase uptime and machine performance
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams on reliability improvements

Bonus qualifications:
- NEN 3140 certification (VOP/VP)
- FESTO or ABB robotics training
- Familiarity with network protocols (Profinet, Modbus, OPC UA), PLC basics, and condition monitoring tools
Profile
A technical background (MBO 3/4 or HBO) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automotive
The ability to read and interpret technical documents, mechanical/electrical schematics, and assembly instructions
Affinity with mechanics, electronics, and basic software troubleshooting
Experience with or willingness to learn structured problem-solving methods
A proactive mindset with attention to safety, quality, and detail
You want to work in 2 shifts weekly schedule: Morning shift 06:00 - 14:15/ Afternoon shift 14:15 – 23:00, on Fridays 14:15 – 20:30.
