The Prodrive Technologies factory concept relies heavily on our in-house build Manufacturing Execution System (MES) supporting operations during execution and guaranteeing the quality of the products.
Our engineers develop a digital replica of the production line by deciding on the manufacturing and testing operations required to produce the product. For all these operation the work and inspection properties are defined, such as work instructions, required equipment, machine files, required competences and sampling.
The MES system will check if all pre-defined properties are satisfied before and during operation for each specific production and inspection step.
The MES system consists of an advanced statistical process control (SPC) layer where process control parameters can be indicated within the routings. If a certain SPC parameter is exceeded during execution, the operation can be stopped, and an anomaly is logged.
Our solutions are enabling the automation of logistics, manufacturing and assembly while achieving an advance operational process control through information systems. These solutions are characterized by their flexibility and scalability as they can easily adapt to a wide range of products, changes to the factory layout and growing demand. Standardized integration is therefore key, such that the different solutions can be easily leveraged also in other factories following our global copy-exact principle.
Using standardized building blocks we developed many different applications in automation cells for system assembly operations such as sealing and heat staking as well as automated inspection using vision and artificial intelligence.
Logistics Automation is focused on a designing, manufacture and deliver integrated logistics solutions which provide the right things at the right time at the right place in the correct quantities. To achieve this, we use our logistics automation solutions such as AGVs and local buffer centers.
