Prodrive Technologies set to open new manufacturing facility in Canton, Massachusetts, USA

We are proud to announce that we have signed a lease contract for a new manufacturing facility at a 53.000 square feet location in Canton, Massachusetts, which is just outside the city of Boston. The lease will commence on the first of September 2019, and from thereon we will begin making all the necessary preparations to start series production in the USA. We expect that this production will be up and running by Q4 -2019.

MULTI: A game changer for the elevator industry

MULTIple elevator cabins in a single shaft, the dream of every skyscraper architect and the wish of many people waiting in line for the elevator! Together with our customer thyssenkrupp Elevator we are at the verge of this technical breakthrough. End of 2015 we started the development of the propulsion system for an elevator without ropes but driven by linear motors instead. Using swivel platforms, the cabins can move both vertical and horizontal, which allows them to change shafts and thereby creating a fully independent paternoster elevator.

InMotion is a multidisciplinary student team consisting of over 50 students from the Eindhoven University of Technology and Fontys. In 1882 Nikola Tesla did a fundamental discovery in physics: the Rotating Magnetic Field. In 1971 Paul C. Lauterbur followed up with his Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or MRI, invention. After many years of research on July 3, 1977 in five hours the first MR image of a human body was made. Three years later the first commercial MRI scanner was introduced by FONAR Corporation.

Eric Saris and Katja Pahnke appointed in non-executive board

On July 1st 2018, Prodrive Technologies Group has appointed Eric Saris and Katja Pahnke in it’s non-executive board. They are the successors of Rick Harwig and Alfred Kleinknecht, who were non-executive board members since 2011. Carlo van de Weijer (member since 2015) will continue his membership in the non-executive board.
