Prodrive Technologies unveils high-speed TDI camera with enhanced DUV sensitivity

SCIENCE PARK EINDHOVEN, THE NETHERLANDS. (16 September, 2024) - Prodrive Technologies is excited to announce the expansion of the Sonic TDI line scan camera with new models featuring advanced Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) sensitivity.

The latest addition, the Sonic 9K608-DUV, is equipped with a cutting-edge back-side illuminated (BSI) sensor, offering exceptional quantum efficiency across a broad spectral range. Its performance peaks at over 70% efficiency in the visible spectrum, while an optimized UV anti-reflective (AR) coating enhances quantum efficiency to above 50% at 266nm, making it ideal for precision inspection applications.

This state-of-the-art camera is available off-the-shelf and will be showcased at VISION 2024 (Booth #10C57, Stuttgart, Germany, 8–10 October).

The Sonic camera platform sets a new benchmark in Time Delay Integration (TDI) imaging, delivering impressive high-speed performance of up to 1MHz with resolutions spanning from 8k to an impressive 16k pixels. Its 256 TDI stages, combined with the advanced BSI sensor technology, enable faster image acquisition, even in challenging low-light conditions.

In addition, the camera's optical Camera Link HS (CLHS) interface ensures reliable, fast data transmission of up to 100Gbps over long distances via lightweight optical fibers. When paired with Prodrive's Apollo series frame grabber, the Sonic camera offers a complete, high-performance solution for demanding optical inspection tasks.

Visit us at VISION 2024 to learn how the Sonic line scan camera can address your specific high-end optical inspection needs. Our team of experts will be on hand to discuss how our innovative technologies can enhance your operations.
