As a Precision Engineer, you are responsible for developing high-performance systems, where you need to consider kinematics, dynamics, structural analysis, and design for manufacturing. You are pushing mechanics to the limits in high precision applications within excessive environments such as extreme temperatures, ultra-high vacuums, and exceptional high speeds. With a team of experts, you will design, build, qualify, and integrate state-of-the-art products. Your creative solutions are based on extensive mechanical design, the right material choices, and applying design principles. You are tackling exciting mechanic challenges by, for example, gaining high stiffness while maintaining low mass, flexure mechanisms, statically and thermally determined designs, and frictionless / low hysteresis designs.
As a thermodynamics & fluid engineer you will work on high-tech systems involving power conversion, embedded computing, cabinets and magnetics. Where you will be responsible for the thermodynamic behavior, flow, adequate cooling solutions and design for thermal control. You will be involved in the entire design process. This includes responsibilities such as developing and optimizing detailed CAD designs, simulating, selecting adequate components, having discussions with our customers, doing tests, qualification and advising your team on how to bring the product to the edge of what is thermodynamically possible. Your contribution enables to design at the ultimate limit of power density, which can make our products highly competitive.
During the entire design phase a variety of qualification and simulation assets are available. For example, climate chambers, thermographic cameras, thermal monitoring equipment and numerous simulation software packages. The functioning of an optical system highly depends on the mechanical design and any electronics used. Therefore you, as an opto-mechatronics engineer, will be responsible for designing systems that combine these three fields: optical, mechanical and electronical engineering. As production volumes are increasing, while maintaining the highest quality at a low cost, the demand arises for an automated production environment. As Mechatronic Engineer you will work on the development and realization of high-tech industrial machinery, to be used either in-house or on site at the customer. These machines will be used for processes like product assembly, product handling, electrical/mechanical testing, marking and inspection. You will be responsible for the creation of these machines, by developing an integrated system including e.g. industrial robots, drivetrains, sensors, control hardware and pneumatics. You will be involved in the entire design process. This includes responsibilities such as defining requirements, having discussions with our customers, designing, prototyping, qualification and supporting system integration.
As a Mechanical Engineer specialized in Material Sciences you will work on material and process choices regarding various systems and mechanical designs. You will be involved in various mechanical designs, where material requirements (mechanical, electrical, thermal, flammability etc.) have to be combined with cost analysis and choices for production/assembly methods. Common used manufacturing methods are additive manufacturing, injection molding, milling and sheet metal. Another important aspect is testing the various aspects of materials to validate their properties and function in designs. Typical applications are adhesives, potting and sealants.
For the development of high-precision products it becomes more and more imported to know exactly the quality and accuracy of the parts and materials we are working with. As a Metrology expert at Prodrive Technologies you will be fully responsible for the (new) metrology laboratory. You will support the development department with your knowledge of (top of the line) measurement equipment available at Prodrive for example interferometry, CT-scanning and coordinate measurement machines. You will support project teams with their tolerance analysis and determine together how to verify the correctness of the parts with our in-house measurement systems.
The Warehouse Employee is working in a small team on the management of the logistic processes within the organization. The trend in electronics is the continuous focus on putting more functionality in one chip and the trend within Prodrive is the upcoming volume manufacturing orders. This means that value of the goods in the warehouse is increasing as well as the volumes. Prodrive is very dependent on an accurate, well controlled logistic process because availability of the chips as well as the balance of the inventory levels is crucial for our organization. Within the warehouse every employee will be trained to work with SAP and every employee will be trained to become multi-employable. This means expedition, goods receipt, order picking, internal transport and distribution management will all become part of your job. The Prodrive warehouse is a high tech, very clean and conditioned environment where accuracy and dedication will be rewarded.
Your responsibility as a test architect is to specify the test strategy and develop advanced test set-ups. We build our test set-ups in-house. You are involved in more multidisciplinary projects at the same time in different phases. In these phases you will have different activities, such as setting up requirements with (internal) customers, specifying the strategy, creating the architecture of the tests, designing the hardware and software with a team, validating your tests and implementing the tests in our high-end production lines.
These activities need to be achieved with your customers and internal stakeholders. To achieve this, you need to interact a lot with different engineers from development, test and service. You work with our high-end production platforms for white-box in-circuit and black-box functional testing, which are all developed in-house.
The development of new test benches and test codes lies within your responsibilities. Whether the Device Under Test is an automotive power convert or consumer IoT device, you connect product design using Design For Manufacturing and Design For Test to a high quality product.

As CAM Engineer you’re responsible for the production process of a variety of mechanical product parts. The products are highly varied, both in material as in level of complexity and precision. The process starts with defining the production strategy, but also includes CAM programming with the most extensive CAD-CAM software, verifying the CAM program on the newest machines (3, 4 and 5 axis automated milling centers) and verifying the results with high quality coordinate measuring machines. As a system analysis engineer you are responsible for the execution of the service process. Products that are returned by our customers and which are suspected as defect need to be analyzed in order to come to a diagnosis about the problem. Afterwards the product needs to be repaired, a root cause analysis should be performed and a service report stating the diagnosis, the repair information and the corrective actions needs to be conducted. Besides that, also complex failures from our production department need to be serviced. In order to perform the investigations, you have a state-of-the art tools, test systems and lab equipment at your disposal. The main responsibility of the system analysis engineer is to provide feedback about the root cause of the problem. You are one of the key players in improving overall quality, which is part of our DNA.

You are in the lead to perform the maintenance and if there is an issue you will be the person who is responsible. You will ensure that our machines run 24/7.
As a system architect you are technical end-responsible for the product design. Based on the requirements, the system architect creates a balanced system design by defining product internal and external interfaces and behaviors together with other lead-engineers based on feasibility, cost, manufacturability, testability, etc. In the detailed design phase of the project, the system architect continuously keeps the holistic view on the system during reviews and daily discussions with team-members. The system architect identifies risks and defines actions to mitigate these risks within the project. Together with the project manager, the system architect is the main point of contact with the customer to discuss the technical challenges encountered during the design.

In the role of system analysis engineer you are the technical heart of a product when it is produced. You are in the lead to make the designs more robust. In this role, your main stakeholders are the global process owners, the architects and, if necessary, you communicate directly with the customer. You can carry out an in-depth analysis of component failures, through your input you relieve the quality department. You can perform this analysis both in the factory and on location with a number of customers and, if necessary, you will be able to start up an 8D. All this finally leads to structural continual improvements in which you can take the lead.
As FPGA design engineer you are responsible for designing a digital circuit within a FPGA. Our designs reach from: control of motion, control of power electronics, video processing to switching high bandwidth data like video over 10Gbit ethernet connections.
You get the ability to learn different coding languages like: VHDL, System Verilog, Python (no experience required).
Maintainability of the code base is very important so you can enjoy the latest source control and verification methodology (like UVM).

As RF designer at Prodrive Technologies there are two fields which could be of your interest: RF Antenna design and RF Power amplification.
As an RF Antenna designer you are responsible for modeling, simulating, designing and qualifying an antenna for one of our connected devices. Examples of technologies which are used: 868MHz, WiFi, Bluetooth, LTE and 4G.
As and RF Power designer you can combine the field of power electronics and electromagnetism. You are responsible for designing parts for RF power amplifiers such as our MRI RF amplifiers.
As electromechanics designer at Prodrive Technologies you are responsible for the complete topology choice, simulation, design and qualification of electrical machines e.g.: rotating, high-speed rotating and linear.
You can be architect or designer in projects for our linear actuator portfolio or customer specific rotating machines. Additionally your knowledge can be used in our power electronic designs with regards to the magnetics and coil designs.
The role of electromechanics designer requires a brought interest in electronics, magnetics and mechanics.
As an analog electronics designer you will be responsible for designing analog circuits in our products, starting with a topology to qualifying it in our highly equipped laboratory.
The purpose of an analog circuit in our designs can differ, but they are always determining the performance of the products. You should think about: measurement circuits and control circuits.
